The weather outside may never be frightful in Hawaii during the holidays (or any time of the year for that matter), and that’s exactly why so many visitors make the journey across the Pacific for the winter.  Waikiki‘s most revered hotel, the Halekulani, hopes to satisfy its guests this Christmas by offering a special “Twelve Days of Christmas” series.

Beginning December 12 and ending on Christmas Eve, guests will be treated to surprising, thoughtful, exclusive and complimentary holiday festivities. From poolside snow cones and limo transfers to the ‘Rodeo’ of Hawaii, which is a tradition beloved by return guests.

Halekulani’s Santa Claus arrives by Outrigger Canoe on Christmas Eve.  As the sun sets over Waikiki, young children of Hawaii will dance hula and sing in anticipation of Halekulani’s beloved Santa Claus who surfs into Waikiki Beach every year. Santa hosts an exclusive Halekulani children’s party and an elegant adult’s reception together with the General Manager.

But that’s not all!  If those aren’t enough reasons to make the Halekulani your home for the holidays, then maybe a classy New Year’s celebration will.  On New Year’s Eve, the hotel hosts a New Year’s Eve Extravaganza with a formal gala of fine dining at La Mer and Orchids featuring festive entertainment by the Honolulu Symphony and a fireworks extravaganza over Waikiki Beach.

I hope some of you make it to the Hawaii for the holidays!
