Cocktails with Mr. Claus at Tini Bigs
Rumor has it that Santa prefers a martini over milk and cookies, but limits it to one night a year in the interest of good public relations. This year, he’s stopping by retro martini bar, Tini Bigs, for a night of imbibing and photos.
You can toast Santa, sit on his lap and tell him how good you’ve been this year, and have a photo taken to prove that the big guy in red really does exist. With 27 variations of martinis, all 10 ounces of hand shaken goodness, you can select an old favorite or try something new. After all, Tini Bigs was honored by Food & Wine Magazine as one of the Top 100 Bars in America for 2009. You know it will be a tasty evening of fun!

Here’s a recipe for a Tini Bigs favorite, the Dirty Girl Scout Tini (from Tini Bigs Big Martinis):
Ingredients:
- 3 ounces Crater Lake Hazelnut Espresso vodka
- 1 ounce chocolate liqueur
- Splash (¼ ounce) of white crème de menthe
- Graham cracker crumbs
- Heavy sweetened cream (In a jar or container with a tight lid, combine 1 part Kahlúa, 1 part rock candy syrup and 2 parts heavy whipping cream, leaving room for the contents to mix. Shake vigorously until the mixture becomes frothy.)
Directions:
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice
- Pour vodka and chocolate liqueur into the shaker
- Add crème de menthe and stir. Rim a big martini glass with graham cracker crumbs
- Strain the contents of the cocktail shaker into the martini glass
- Gently float a layer of heavy sweetened cream on top
