Wine-Based Spa Treatments in Fort Lauderdale

There’s something about wine that I love. Relaxing after a long day with a glass of a fruit forward Cabernet in hand, trekking out to Napa to discover new vineyards, bouncing around from wine tasting to wine tasting — all draw me in, so when you mix wine with some of my already favorite activities, life gets good.

spaTake this — wine inspired spa treatments. It must have been over a year ago when I had my first wine-inspired spa treatment in Palm Beach.  This Champagne Pedicure sent tingles up my spine. Luxurious and soothing, it’s not everyday that you experience something so mind-blowing, but just a week after I was won over, Babor closed their doors and this Champagne pedicure could be done no more.  It always seems to happen that way, doesn’t it?

So the hunt was on — where could I find something like this? My only answer was to go to fly out to Napa or to go to the Biltmore, until now.  While I haven’t experienced this yet, The Biltmore does offer a Chardonnay Pedicure for $70. Enjoy 50-minutes of wine therapy for your feet. Your feet will be nourished, your legs will be exfoliated with a Chardonnay grape seed extract and a Chardonnay body lotion will be massaged into your precious feet — and hopefully this comes with an overflowing glass of Chardonnay. (My Champagne pedicure did.)

Now the “until now” part comes. As I was skimming through my twitter feed, I discovered a new wine-based treatment — a Chardonnay Sugar Body Polish — at Spa LXVI at Hyatt Regency Pier 66 in Fort Lauderdale. According to their description this is what you will experience:

An opulent sugar cane and walnut shell “wine therapy” scrub exfoliates while French Chardonnay grape seed extract, shea butter and fine oils purify, soften and protect the skin. A douse of velvety shower bath gel with a refreshing bouquet of pomegranate tones and conditions the skin. Finally an application of the rich emollient of Chardonnay Body Butter with a hint of grapefruit provides the ultimate in skin hydration. Head and foot massage included.

50 minutes of pure bliss for $120.
