Hong Kong Urban Dance Festival 2009
On 12th December the Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation is holding its Urban Dance Festival 2009 where you can catch 66 outstanding dance performances from some of Hong Kong’s most talented youth. From 11am to 6pm at Taikoo Place (map), there will be live percussion music, dance workshops, performances and tours complete with characters in costumes. This is all FREE ADMISSION and everyone is welcome to participate. It’s a great chance to spend some time outdoors at the Swire Island East promenade and also a chance to see some wonderful dances from the Hong Kong Youth Arts pool of gifted performers.

I’m extremely excited to go, especially since I know quite a few of the performers. I can promise that you won’t be disappointed. I’m even more excited because Taikoo Place is right next to where I used to live! I only just moved yesterday to Discovery Bay and though I love the change of scenery and lifestyle here, I must admit that I’m a bit homesick.
It’s been a pretty hectic few weeks and I am amazed at how quickly time has passed. It’s December, everyone! I think I’m starting to feel the holiday spirit what with all the decorations hanging about all over the city. Check back soon for lots of photos of the best public decorations that I stumble upon.
Happy December, folks!
