Holiday Concert with The Westwind Brass

‘Tis the season to be jolly.  Start off the holidays by enjoying holiday music from many countries and every era, including traditional Christmas carols, Hanukah music and selections from a Klezmer’s Nutcracker Suite, Händel’s Messiah, as well as a few surprises.   The Westwind Brass will be performing on  December 7, 2009 at 7:30pm at The Neurosciences Institute.

Individual concert tickets are $25 general admission and $15 members/students/seniors/military.

The Westwind Brass exists to broaden and enrich the musical legacy of local, national and international audiences through performance and educational services featuring brass instruments and music.

The Westwind Brass fields an ensemble of brass musicians who perform in various configurations of musicians featuring the unique timbre of brass instruments and performing the brass repertoire at a high artistic level.

Westwind Brass faculty in residence:
John Wilds – trumpet
Andrew Elstob – trumpet
Barry Toombs – horn
Dave Pollock – trombone
Brent Dutton – tuba

The ensemble is in residence at San Diego State University. The group receives major support from the City of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture.
