There are  holiday activities and entertainment  galore centered around Boston’s Faneuil Hall Marketplace this season. And since Faneuil Hall Marketplace is also home to dozens of big-name retail stores like Crate & Barrel, Orvis and Coach as well as one-of-a-kind boutiques like Christmas in New England and Boston Pewter,  you may even be able to cross off a few items from your Christmas gift list!

Faneuil Hall Marketplace is always dressed up in holiday finery with lots of twinkling lights and greenery. Be sure to visit the decorated and illuminated  Faneuil Hall Christmas Tree,  said to be the tallest in New England.

The Faneuil Hall’s 24th annual  Christmas Tuba Concert takes place Saturday, November 28 , from 2 PM-3:30PM . Traditional Christmas carols are played by an orchestra of 130 tubas and euphoniums. The event is free.

Revisit the Candy Cane Forest and Gumdrop Mountain and play everyone’s favorite first board game.   On Saturday, December 12,  from 10 AM-12PM,  bring the kids to the 5th annual Candy Land Tournament at Faneuil Hall. There will be prizes, entertainment, crafts and snacks. Admission is $5 per person or $10 per family.  Proceeds benefit local charity, “Pitching in For Kids.”
