Black Friday Travel Deals, Along with Some Extras

If you think Black Friday deals only apply to department stores and online shopping venues, then you are mistaken.

Beginning early morning on Friday, November 27, various travel deals that are only good on this day will be available for purchase.

If you are looking for that perfect gift that everyone will enjoy, set your alarm early so that you don’t miss out on the Black Friday travel deals.

• Unwrapped the discounts at Shell Vacation Hospitality on Black Friday. The group, which regional properties includes Foxhunt at Sapphire Valley (map) in Cashiers, N.C. as well as Salado Creek Villas (map) and Hill Country Inn and Suites at Salado Creek Villas (map), both in San Antonio, Texas, is offering up to 50 percent off discounts.
• Until midnight on Friday, November 27, Sterling Resorts is offering low, low rates for per night stays on one-to-four bedroom condos. Secure now by calling 877-853-1482 for travel up until May 1, 2010.
• Ever wanted to attend the Kentucky Derby? If so, Galt House Hotel (map) in Louisville, Ky., is offering $700 savings on a race package only available on Black Friday.
• Are you on Twitter or Facebook? If so, you might want to follow or friend Tradewinds Sandpiper Beach Resort (map) located on St. Peter Beach, Fla. Because if you don’t,  you might miss out the Black Friday deal. The property is offering special low rates and offers (good on select dates through January 2010) to early bird tweeters and Facebook fans on November 27. The social media special begins at 6 a.m. EST and will go until 11 a.m., when the last rate/offer will be posted and available through 11 p.m.

Okay, may be the following aren’t true Black Friday deals, but they are still deals nonetheless.

• Stay the weekend (beginning on Friday or Saturday) at any participating Residence Inn by Marriott and receive a $50 Bonus Buck to use for a future stay. Offer is good through December 31.
• Enroll in Omni Hotels’ Select Guest program and earn double credits when you book your stay online. This special is good through December 31.
