Indulge in Arizona’s Fine Wines at Festival at the Farm

If you’re a wine lover, Arizona is the place to be.  We’re making a name for ourselves in the industry and loving the attention it brings to our fair state.

This Sunday, November 22 is your chance to meet passionate wine growers and makers from all over Arizona and taste their finest wines at The Festival at the Farm.

The Arizona Wine Growers Association hosts this first time event at The Farm at South Mountain (map), a hidden gem of pecan groves and a grassy area popular for picnics only eight minutes from downtown Phoenix.

Attendees will learn about wine production, taste hundreds of wines and vote for their favorite vintage.  Interactive exhibits will acquaint visitors with the many vineyards throughout the state.  Participants will also learn the tricks of wine tasting,  food & wine pairing tips and how to shop for the right wine.

As an extra bonus, Quiessence Restaurant & Wine Bar (map) will host the Arizona Grower’s Cup Awards Dinner where the Executive chef and owner, Gregory LaPrad will treat diners to a four course meal selected to compliment the winning wines chosen by an independent panel of professional judges.

This event sounds like a great opportunity to sip what is referred to as 100% Arizona juice and chat with the winemakers working hard to put Arizona on the international wine producing map.
