Sesame Street Sails into Washington, DC
Just in time for the holidays, brings it’s 100th tour to the Washington, DC area when “1-2-3 Imagine! with Elmo & Friends” opens for 7 shows at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia.
“1-2-3 Imagine! takes children on a magical journey after Sam, Sesame Street’s mail carrier, delivers post cards to the Sesame Street gang form around the world. Wanting to visit these far away locations, Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Big Bird and the rest of the Sesame Street friends learn how to imaging being there by counting “1-2-3 Imagine!”

Ernie’s imagination transports him to the high seas on the ‘Good Ship Rubber Duckie’, Elmo dances in an African rainforest, while Bert dives under the ocean and meets an octopus. The fun adventure helps teach children the power of imagination through musical productions that include classic songs such as “She’ll Be Comin’ ‘Round the Mountain” and “Surfin’ Safari.”
Join Grover, Oscar, Count Von Count, Bert and the infamous Cookie Monster, along with many of the the other Sesame Street Muppets characters in this high-energy musical production.
Over the 40 years in production, Sesame Street has won over 100 Emmy Awards, more than any other show on television, and been broadcast to over 100 countries.
It’s been estimated that 1 in 4 American children watched the show while they were growing up.
