Los Angeles Lakers vs. Detroit Pistons basketball game at the Staples Center, 7:30 p.m. (map)

Wednesday
Open mic at the Pig ‘N Whistle in Hollywood, 8 p.m. (map)
Don’t wait for a band to play some music – make your own! Sign ups start at 7:30 p.m.
Thursday
The Fray concert at the University of Southern California Galen Center, 8 p.m. (map)
A Grammy nominated four person piano rock band, well known for their popular song, “How to Save a Life”.

Friday
Equivocation at the Geffen Playhouse, 8 p.m. (map)
An original play about Shakespeare being commissioned by the king to create a play about a the traitors involved in a failed plot against the king. The focus of the story is about the difference between the power of a few and the truth of what really happened.
The show is running from now until December.

Saturday
The Great Los Angeles Walk, starting at the Shrine Auditorium at 9 a.m. (map)
Walk 14 miles with hundreds of Angelenos from USC to South L.A.
Sunday
Los Angeles Comedy Festival at ACME Comedy Theater in Hollywood, 7 & 8:30 p.m. (map)
Today is the last day of the festival, and my personal favorite Los Angeles comedy group, Last Ferry to Hobart, is closing out the show.
Tickets are $9.99 in advance, or $12 at the door.
