L.A. Storytelling Festival On November 14

Never been to a storytelling festival?  Then check out the 8th Annual Los Angeles Storytelling Festival, The Journey:  Tales of 1,000 Quests, this Saturday, November 14th from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Culver-Palms UMC Complex in Culver City (map).

What is a storytelling festival?

Astoryteller project of L.A. Storyworks, a non-profit organization, the storytelling festival is a time when people can come together and share their stories and their lives face to face.  The event will feature performances from traditional to more contemporary.

According to the website, “Stories reconnect us to experiences and feelings we all share. And with our many modern storytellers, we see those experiences in a great variety of perspectives and styles. We really do share our lives in stories. – Leslie Perry.”

Festival events include concerts and workshops on topics such as bringing a story to life, transition tales, and how to tell your family’s story.  The performers and workshop leaders come from a wide range of backgrounds and bring a wealth of experiences to share with attendees.
