As Alan Jackson and Jimmy Buffet sang, “It’s five o’clock somewhere.”  If you’re in San Francisco, which is on Pacific Time, you can take advantage of some great Happy Hours going on around the city.

This list of happy hours make it easy for visitor to find some specially priced beverages and snacks at their hotel.  A perfect solution after a tough day in business meetings or a refreshing pick me up after a day of touring the city.

Which one do you want to try?

Mandarin Oriental’s MO Bar, 222 Sansome Street (map) – Escape the frenetic busyness of the Financial District and enjoy a cocktail in the intimate MO Bar and the 345 Club Lounge’s VIP Happy Hour.  Offered Monday – Friday, 4:30-8:30 pm, you’ll find $3 bottled beers, $5 sangria, and $7 premium wines.  Lots of other special events going on.

InterContinental’s Bar 888, 888 Howard Street at 5th (map) – Lots of classic and contemporary cocktails and fine wines, but one of the highlights of the bar list are the specialty grappa-based drinks.  Italy-philes probably already have an appreciation for grappa, but if you’re new to the beverage, you’ll have to be sure to give it a try.  The happy hours is offered Monday  Friday, 4-8 pm, and has $5-6 beer specials, $7 wine, $8.88 cocktails, and an assortment of bar bites.

Larkspur Hotel’s BAR 1915, 521 Sutter Street (map) – Take a break from your Union Square shopping spree, and enjoy half-off wines by the glass and draft beer and specials on pizzetta, panini, and hand crafted salumi.  Offered 4:30-6:30 pm daily.

Westin St. Francis’ Caruso’s, 335 Powell Street (map) – The bar has created a signature happy hour experience that they’re calling The Unwind Hour, featuring Napa valley wines and products.  Sample premium wines paired with gourmet hors d’oeuvres.  Offered Tuesday – Saturday, 5-7 pm.

Parc 55 Hotel’s Cityhouse, 55 Cyril Magnin Street, second floor (map) – The lounge features small plates that are perfect for sharing, and you can choose your beverage from an extensive selection of cocktails and wine.  Buy any drink or bar bite and get a second round for 55 cents.  Offered Tuesday – Saturday, 3-7 pm.

Orchard Hotel’s Daffodil Restaurant, 665 Bush Street (map) – A great spot for people watching, this lobby bar offers a great selection of local wines, and you can receive a complimentary appetizer with the purchase of any signature cocktail.  Offered daily, 4-7 pm.

Hotel Fusion’s Infusion Lounge, 124 Ellis Street (map) – An Asian-inspired lounge in Union Square offers $3 beers, $5 wine, and $5 mixed drinks.  Available Tuesday – Friday, 6-8 pm.

Hyatt at Fisherman’s Wharf’s Knuckles, 555 Northpoint (map) – Half priced draft beer and house wines offered Monday – Friday, 5-7 pm.  Thursday night also included $6 house martinis.

Palace Hotel’s Kyo-ya, 2 New Montgomery Street (map) – This historic hotel is one of my favorites, and the happy hour is sure to tempt you to visit.  Offering complimentary bar bits, $3 Sapporo beer, and $6 specialty cocktails, Monday – Friday, 5-7 pm.  Sushi is also available at reasonable prices.

Warwick Hotel’s La Scene Cafe & Bar, 490 Geary Street at Taylor (map) – Set in the heart of the Theater District, a short walk away from Union Square, you’ll find $2.99 beers, $4.99 house wine, and $5 well cocktails.  Offered Tuesday – Saturday, 5-6:30 pm.

Ritz Carlton’s Lobby Lounge, 600 Stockton (map) -  The historic Nob Hill location, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, offers a great view of the city, and make it a popular spot for visitors and residents.  Try the farm-to-bar Bloody Mary menu, available daily 5-7 pm, or the weekly Raw Bar menu with optional paired wines, available Wednesday, 5-7 pm.

Clift’s Redwood Room, 495 Geary Street (map) – Another San Francisco historic hotel.  Offers a different specialty cocktail each week, $8, Sunday – Thursday 5 pm–2 am, and on Friday & Saturday, 4 pm-2 am.

Orchard Garden Hotel’s Roots Restaurant, 466 Bush Street at Grant Avenue (map) – With is commitment to local produce, naturally raised meats, and sustainable seafood, this environmentally friend concept has extended to the bar with organic cocktails.  Happy hour special is a complimentary appetizer with the purchase of a glass of wine or signature cocktail.  Offered daily, 4-7 pm.

Hilton’s Urban Tavern, 333 O’Farrell Street (map) – This gastro pub offers half-price cocktails, wine by the glass, and $4 beers for its happy hour, along with a menu of burgers and small bites.  Offered 3-5:30 pm

W’s XYZ Lounge, 181 Third Street (map) – Eco-friendly cocktails that use local, organic, sustainable, and seasonable ingredients, whenever possible.  The happy hours is called Five at Five for Five, and is offered, you guessed it, 5 days a week.  It includes a selection or organic cocktails, micro brews, biodynamic wines, and organic bar bites for $5.  Offered Monday – Friday, 5-7 pm.
