Sip and Cycle In Canada’s Wine Country

While the Napa Valley is famous in the United States, Canada boasts an incredible wine region of its own.  The Okanagan Valley produces some of the finest Rieslings and Gewurztraminers and, while it is on the same latitude as Germany’s famed Mosel Valley, the unique climate zone makes it possible to nurture vintages on par with the best Italian and California reds.

Cycling

The area is absolutely beautiful.  It’s lush and mountainous and the iExplore Canada: Active tour allows travelers to cycle on the smooth roads along pristine lakes and through stunning countryside.  On the route, cyclists will find a lavender farm and a goat cheese farm where they can sample the latest stock.

The Okanagan Valley boasts over 30 wineries, spectacular mountain vistas and beautiful lakes and the daily distances of cycling range from 18 to 32 miles per day, with options for more riding.

In case you aren’t familiar with them, iExplore was named one of the “Best Adventure Travel Companies on Earth” by National Geographic for their attentiveness to the needs of their customers as well as the flexibility of the itineraries.

Prices start at $2,895 per person and include lodging, planned activities, and most meals.
