Remembrance Day Poppies Invade Edinburgh
Edinburgh, like many cities across the UK, are currently invaded by red poppies – a cute flower, indeed, but if you’re visiting you might be wondering what all the fuss is about?

The poppy campaign, now somewhat of a cultural icon, is the result of an annual funding drive by for Remembrance Day, a holiday to signify and acknowledge those who lost their lives in WWI and WWII. Remembrance day is today, November 11th, and a two minute silence is held at 11AM on November 11th.
So, when you’re walking by the massive poppy displays in or at the , spare some change and get a poppy to show your support.
