The Mighty Himalayas and How to Prepare, Nepal
Now that you have decided to embark on the journey of a lifetime, let this list be a helpful guide in preparing you for anything that may come your way while on the trail.
- High energy snacks such as nuts and/or granola bars
- Walking stick
- Up-to-date map (also makes a great souvenir upon completion)
- Good raincoat as the weather can change very quickly and unexpectedly
- Good shoes that have been broken in already
- Candle and matches/lighter as many guest houses do not have 24 power
- Warm blanket or light sleeping bag
- Camera/video camera to document the journey
- Hat and gloves as early morning/late evening can be very cold
- Open mind and sense of adventure…anything can happen if you let it!
