Girls Day Out in Auckland!

I am sure you will agree (if you are female!) that there is nothing better than a day out with the girls – doesn’t have to be anything elaborate, just a simple get together, maybe good food and wine but always there is the guarantee of animated conversation and lots of laughs.

Well, Auckland has the perfect event to gather your ‘gal pals’ and head to Girls’ Day Out 2009 at the ASB Showgrounds (map), November 20 -22nd. With a focus on empowering women Girls’ Day Out offers stalls, seminars and displays on fashion, lifestyle, health and wellbeing, career and money as well as entertainment and prizes – what more could a girl want?!

Some of the highlights you can expect are:

  • Wear a red dress and have the chance to win spot prizes.
  • Be one of 6 lucky people to win an ‘Ultimate Makeover’ – you will be transformed from head to toe with an outfit, makeup, jewellery and skincare. One lucky recipient will be chosen via Facebook (join now) and the other 5 will be chosen randomly at the show.
  • Choose from an impressive line up of seminars in the Brita Better Women Seminar Lounge covering fashion, career, fitness, fertility and much more – a great opportunity to rest those tired feet but even better, to get some ideas and advice.
  • Presentations from well known ‘foodies’ Annabel Langbein and Lana Garland (Food In A Minute) on the kitchen and entertainment stage.
  • Go in the draw to win a trip for two to Vanuatu along with many other spot prizes!
  • And last but certainly not least, Girls Day Out 2009 have chosen ‘Dress for Success’ as their charity for the event – a global organisation promoting the economic independence of disadvantaged women as they enter or return to the workforce. Girls’ Day Out will be attempting a World Record to build the World’s Biggest Wardrobe from donations of clothing, hand bags, shoes and jewellery.

So get on the phone and email and gather a group of your nearest and dearest for a day to be remembered!

Tickets available from iticket.
