The Night of the Museums in Buenos Aires

The Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires presents the 6th edition of (The Night of the Museums), a special event where the museums of have their night out.
Since 2004, one Saturday a year, the museums are open at night, showing vast wealth and combining different aesthetic tendencies and offering different cultural activities, all free of charge.
During this special night visitors will be able to enjoy free guided visits, as well as conferences, shows, theater performances, dance, screenings, video, multimedia, and diverse concerts of classical music, jazz, tango, folk, and rock, and more.
In this edition, which will take place on November 14, over 130 museums and art spaces will be participating, and 4 new neighborhoods will be added to the circuit: Villa Luro, Flores, Colegiales, and Coghlan, as well as new venues such as Polo Circo, De los Túneles Santa Felicitas Museum and the Escondido Temple, Muñiz Hospital Museum, Hare Krishna Temple, , Colectivo Museum and Regimiento de Granaderos a Caballo Museum, among others. Imagine over half a million people going from neighbourhood to neighbourhood in one night.
takes place also in 130 cities around the world. The date of the celebration this year is shared with ’s Museums night, fact that predicts a Latin-American celebration and recognition for the porteños artists.
The organizers emphasize that after 5 years of permanency and taking into account the event transcendence, in the future different parts of the country will join the activities and have the chance to show their cultural richness. Among them there is Maipú, Vicente López, San Fernando, San Isidro and Tigre, as well as Catamarca and San Luis Provinces.
