Since 1939, Old Tucson Studios has been the backdrop for over 300 movies and television shows including Rio Bravo featuring John Wayne and Dean Martin, The Outlaw Jose Wales with Clint Eastwood, Bonanza, and present day comedies The Three Amigos and Revenge of the Nerds.

Celebrating its 70th year, Old Tucson Studios is hosting “Arizona’s Hollywood in the Desert,” a full day of events on Saturday, November 21 with a concert by country music superstar Darryl Worley with a portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit a local non-profit.

A fireworks display and a special retrospective exhibit of never-before-seen production stills will be part of the celebration.

There’s plenty of grub for everyone’s taste with fresh pastries at Phoebe’s Café, bar-b-q at Big Jake’s, cool beverages at the Grand Palace Saloon and ice cream at the Big Scoop.  Train rides, panning for gold and a shooting gallery keep the kids entertained. Shows featuring Miss Kitty’s can-can musical and stunt men reenacting movie stunts from your favorite epics provide good ol’ Western fun.

General Admission tickets can be purchased on-line or the day of the event at the Old Tucson Studios box office for $16.95 for adults (12 and over) and $10.95 for children (4-11). All activities, including the concert and fireworks, are included.
