Filipino Resources in Seattle, Washington

Filipinos first came to the Seattle area in the state of Washington around the 1880s. Since then, the number of Pinoys has grown to the tens of thousands. They have integrated well into the community, found their niches and settled well in their chosen residence.

If you’re a Filipino who’s just about to move to Seattle, it will comfort you to know that  you’ll find a group of kababayan’s who will welcome you and make you feel quite at home. Even the rainy climate will remind you of the wet season back home.

As for food, not to worry. You can get your fill of Filipino ingredients at the Oriental Mart at 1506 Pike Place Market, Seattle, WA 98101. Then there are several Filipino restaurants in the area:

Kawali Grill
5300 Rainier Ave S,
Seattle, WA 98118
(206) 723-6179

Philippine Island Cuisine
5020 University Way NE
Seattle, WA 98105

Inay’s PanPacific Restaurant
2503 Beacon Ave
Seattle, WA 98144
(206) 325-5692

As always, Filipinos are easy to find. Just hang around these places, listen for anybody speaking Tagalog/Bisaya/Ilokano/etc. and introduce yourself as a fellow Pinoy in Seattle!
