Jason Alexander Comes to Auckland
Jason Alexander, famous for his long stint in the all time fave comedy show Seinfeld as George Costanza, is bringing his “Comedy Spectacular” to Auckland. This is Jason’s first time in Auckland after previous sell out sessions across Australia.
Nine seasons as George Costanza on NBC’s ‘Seinfeld’ earned Alexander six Emmy and four Golden Globe nominations, an American Television Award and two American Comedy Awards for ‘Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series’. The Screen Actors Guild went one step higher and knighted him ‘Best Actor in a Comedy Series’, despite his role as a supporting actor.
Alexander’s voice has become equally famous in animated features and television series including ‘Duckman’, ‘Aladdin’, ‘The Return of Jafar’ and ‘Hercules’ as well as Hugo the gargoyle in Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Jason has also performed in musical theatre on Broadway in a number of productions including Rupert Holmes’ ‘Accomplice’, Neil Simon’s ‘Broadway Bound’ and ‘The Rink’ with Liza Minnelli and Chita Riviera. He also starred opposite Martin Short in the regional production of Mel Brook’s hit Broadway musical ‘The Producers’.
This performance is sure to sell out quickly so get your tickets now for a night of laughs and a Seinfeld Q & A.
The show is being held at the Aotea Centre (map) on Tuesday 8 December at 8pm.
