Catch one of NZ’s Biggest Rising Stars – Gin Wigmore!
Gin Wigmore is a rising talent from New Zealand, proving to be a very successful singer/songwriter she is the first artist signed to Island Records Australia. Her path to fame started when she beat 11,000 other entrants from 77 countries to win the grand prize at the International Song Competiton in 2004 with her beautiful, poignant song, Hallelujah about her father’s death from cancer.
Since then Gin (Virginia) has released two albums, one ‘Extended Play’ in 2008 which featured the well-known hit ‘Under My Skin’ used in a very successful Air New Zealand ad campaign, and more recently, ‘Holy Smoke’ which was recorded with The Cardinals and is already receiving wide acclaim.
So this is your chance to catch the lady in person at the Powerstation, Mt Eden on 28 November, 2009 at 7.30pm. This is an R18 event, tickets available from Ticketmaster.
Get along and support some fantastic kiwi talent before she disappears overseas!
