Carving Pumpkins With Disney Flair

You found and purchased the perfect pumpkin at the patch and it has been waiting patiently on your front porch.  Now, just days away from Halloween, it is time to decorate it.

While I am quite fond of the traditionally carved Jack-O-Lanterns with their triangular eyes and crooked toothy-grins, I am also quite fond of the newer stencil-carved pumpkins.  From scary to silly to full of intricate details, using stencils has taken pumpkin carving to a whole new level.

Thanks to John Frost at The Disney Blog, families and Disney fans alike can have a great time with some of these pumpkin carving patterns with Disney flair.  The following sites offer stencils that can be downloaded to create your favorite Disney character, princess or villain:

The same effect can be created by using a page from your favorite Disney coloring book.  Simply tape the page on the pumpkin, and start carving away.  Spread out the newspaper,  let your creative juices flow and thrill your neighbors with these unique Jack-o-Lanterns.
