Need a Good Laugh?

Orange County is lucky enough to not have just one, but two local improv comedy clubs with one in Brea (map), and the other in Irvine (map).

Both clubs also double as restaurants, and guests with reservations will have preferred seating.  In the past, comedians such as Dennis Miller, Jerry Seinfeld, and Carlos Mencia have practiced their material here.

The Improv venues also have a reputation for supporting up-and-coming comedians, since Orange County is a much “safer” atmosphere than L.A. or Hollywood for the lesser known funny men and women.

The Irvine Improv club is located within the Irvine Spectrum shopping center, near the movie theater.  Coming up over the next month are Greg Giraldo (host of Comedy Central’s celebrity roasts), Mitch Fatel, Ben Bailey (from Cash Cab), and Daniel Tosh.

The Brea Improv club is near the Brea Mall, in a prominent shopping district with many restaurants nearby.  Over the next month, the Brea Improv will host comedians such as Christopher Titus, Margaret Cho, and Jim Breuer.
