It’s Oktoberfest All Year at Epcot’s Germany Pavilion

Oh, the lively charm of an enchanting German village, the cobblestone plaza, the quaint shops, the clock tower and statue of St. George slaying a dragon, I must be in a fairy tale!  Actually, it is the Germany Pavilion within the World Showcase of Epcot theme park at Walt Disney World Resort. Biergarten Restaurant at Germany Pavilion

In the heart of the Bavarian Village stands the Biergarten Restaurant where Oktoberfest is celebrated all year long. Hearty German fare is served buffet-style for lunch and dinner with favorites like bratwurst, red cabbage sauerkraut, pork schnitzel,  spaetzle, and of course, apple strudel.  Get in the spirit of Oktoberfest and raise a stein of German beer or a glass of Rhine wine.

Guests are seated at long communal tables that offer a great view of the festivities as costumed musicians provide oom-pah band entertainment. Oktoberfest Musikanten is a 6-person lively musical group that performs traditional music with singing, dancing, yodeling and more as diners are encouraged to dance and join in the merriment.

Having German heritage, I love German food, could eat my weight in red cabbage, and don’t even get me started on spaetzle! With such lively entertainment, I dare anyone to sit still.  So clink a stein or two, shout “Prost!” and enjoy a celebration of food and fun!
