New Times Iron Fork 2009 – Culinary Clash of the Miami Chefs
What do four top culinary judges and two leading area chefs in one hot kitchen equal? It all adds up to the New Times Iron Fork 2009 event on Thursday, October 15.

This year’s culinary creative showdown by some of ’s finest in food takes place at Bank of America Tower Sky Lobby, from 6 to 10 p.m. Food lovers will get to sample some menu items from 40 plus area restaurants. Among those participating:

Not to forget accompanying spirits, there will be an open bar featuring Rums of Puerto Rico/Presidente and Terry Seitz Inc. – Importers of Fine South African Wines. Along with all that, musical entertainment will be provided by the Crescendos Piano Bar and live performance by Sam Hyken, Trumpet and Roberto Castillo, DJ. Putting the finishing touches on it all: an art viewing by Mumbai.
Of course, the highlight will be the Iron Fork competing chefs and their dueling dishes at the main event — this year, being John Critchley, Executive Chef at Area 31, and Giancarla Bodoni, Executive Chef at Escopazzo. Judging their culinary creativity will be Allen Susser, Executive Chef, Chef Allen’s; Cindy Hutson, Executive Chef, Ortanique on the Mile; Michael Moran, Chief Instructor, FIU School of Hospitality Management; and Adrianne Calvo, Executive Chef, Adrianne’s Vineyard Restaurant and Wine Bar.
