Welcome to Thailand!
Formally known as the Kingdom of Thailand, the predominantly Buddhist nation is home to 65, 000, 000 of the world’s population, spanning out in a geographical space no larger than that of France. Thailand, meaning “the land of the free” is divided into five main provincial groups (allocated by geographical location), which are then subdivided into another 75 provinces. With neighboring Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos, these costal nation’s make up the world’s Southeast Asian corner.
Having an economy that relies heavily on tourism, Thailand certainly has the landscape to support its capricious market. With rich green hillsides, fairytale blue waters and powder white sandy beaches, it’s no wonder so many foreign visitors wander throughout this great nation for a peek into on the world’s most fascinating destinations. Drawing in more tourists than any other Southeast Asian country, Thailand has left those feeling thirsty for change quenched, refreshed and rejuvenated.
