Sample the Best at Taste of Atlanta

When asked what makes the Taste of Atlanta standSilk out from other similar type food festivals, Dale Gordon DeSena, president and founder, simply replies, “ It’s the premier food festival in Atlanta.”

“The city has many award-winning restaurants that have been recognize by national publications like Bon Appétit, Gourmet, Esquire and New York Times, as well as the James Beard Foundation. We (Atlanta) are on the worldwide foodie map.”

Recognized by Oprah.com as one of the “6 Food Festivals That Are Worth the Trip,”  the two-day festival on October 10-Main Stage Crowd 11 truly features something for everyone. Not only are there many foods to sample from over 80 of the city’s favorite restaurants, according to DeSena, but also a kids’ area filled with opportunities to create crafts. In addition, there’s cooking demonstrations on three different stages as well as a Farm-to-Table Village.

“The Village highlights many of Atlanta’s restaurants that support the initiative,” says DeSena. “There will also be a mini-farmer’s market and Farmer D on hand to answer organic/sustainable food questions.”

WheTasteSatKid-0166ther you come for the food, the demonstrations or the entertainment, you will definitely walk away with a new respect for Atlanta’s culinary scene and perhaps some new restaurants to patronize.
