Sitges Film Fest – Day Trips from Barcelona
Beautiful Sitges is a quick 45 minute train ride on RENFE from . Famous for being one of Europe’s gay-getaways, Sitges is a charming beach-side town packed with boutiques, seafood restaurants and waterfront cafes for afternoon cafes con leches.
Sitges deserves to be visited all on its own, but with the Sitges Film Festival scheduled this month, visitors have one more good reason to make the journey.

The festival goes from Oct 1 to the 12th 2009, so it’s on now! Films are fantasy and horror and run 8 to 7 Euros per ticket. If you have the time, do the Sitges Film Fest as an overnight and take in the sun, sand and cinema while staying at one of the town’s many small hotels.
This festival has been to attract big names in cinema like Cameron Diaz and Jodi Foster, so keep your eyes peeled for stars.
