Join Me at Tulalip Resort for Andrew Will Wine Maker Dinner

UPDATEAfter this post was published, the resort received a number of bookings, and has decided to expand the number of seats available for this special event.  The location has been moved to the dining room (rather than the smaller private room), which will be closed for the evening, and has increased the number of reservations to 32 guests.  If you didn’t make your reservation yet, you may still be able to get a spot.  Make your reservations with Tulalip Bay:  (360) 716-1500.  See you there!

I had the opportunity to visit the Tulalip Resort awhile back, and to discover the wonderful things they’ve done with the hotel, spa, and casino.  I’ve got reviews coming up soon, but will be making a couple more samples first before raving to you about this destination.

Till then, however, I’d love it if you would join me at an upcoming five-course Wine Maker Dinner to be held at the Tulalip Resort.

The dinner will be held in the private dining room of Tulalip Bay Restaurant, and teams the culinary mastery of Chef Dean Shinagawa, the expertise of Sommelier Tommy Thompson, and the behind-the-wine expertise of David Oldham from Andrew Will Cellars.1

Here’s the menu and the wine pairings for the evening.  I don’t know about you, but my mouth is watering already!

First Course

CRISPY COCONUT SHRIMP  Tropical Fruit Salsa

PROSCIUTTO WRAPPED SCALLOP  Warm Soybean Salad

BAKED BRIE CHEESE  Blackberry Syrup

White Bordeaux

Second Course

The dinner will begin promptly at 6 pm on Friday, October 9th, 2009, and seating is limited to 18 guests.  There are a few spots left, so take a take a look at the menu once again and RSVP immediately to save your spot.  Reservations are $120 per person all inclusive, and require a $50 per person non-refundable deposit.  With limited seating, and the high quality of this event, this will help eliminate any no-show factor.  The deposit will be applied toward the  charge on the evening of the event.

If you’re really looking to make an evening of it, book a room for the night, and walk back “home” instead of driving.  The hotel rooms are absolutely terrific (that’s a standard room in the photo at left) and value priced.  Rates include complimentary valet parking, free in room wi-fi, and water and coffee in each room.

I’ve already made my room reservations (and am contemplating a spa appointment next).  Weekend rooms book up quickly, so if you want a room, don’t wait and be disappointed.

The Tulalip Bay Restaurant at the Tulalip Resort Casino is located at 10200 Quil Ceda Boulevard, Tulalip (map)

I’ll be there!  Who wants to join me?
