Mid-Autumn Thematic Lantern Exhibition
In celebration of Hong Kong’s Mid-Autumn Festival, there are two exhibits taking place that have on display beautiful lanterns that capture the combination of rich culture and tradition with modern and international influences that is the centre of Hong Kong. Take a stroll down a glowing garden of European designed lanterns or be in awe of ethnic Asian lanterns. As part of Creative October, the exhibits began yesterday, 21 September and will be on display till 1 November.
1. Join Hands to be the Legend showcases lantern mascots Dony and Ami of the East Asian Games, as well as lanterns of unique ethnic costumes from the EAG participants. Held at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza in Tsim Sha Tsui, witness the glorious Asian culture in the form of one of Hong Kong’s most distinct festival features.

2. Glittering Garden under the Moon at West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade specifically features European style lantern gardens and glittery flower lanterns, making for an enchanting lantern garden to fascinate all visitors.
