Children’s Miracle Network Classic a Disney Classic for 39 Years
The 2009 PGA Tour Children’s Miracle Network Classic returns to Walt Disney World Resort for the 39th year this November. With Pro-Am practice rounds beginning Monday, Nov. 9th through the final Pro tournament on Sunday, Nov. 15th it is sure to be a week full of good golf for a good cause.
The scheduled 128 players will pitch and putt their way through the Joe Lee designed courses of Disney’s Palm and Magnolia golf complexes. The Classic is the longest-running professional golf event in Central Florida, and is aimed at improving the lives of children.
This year, a first time addition to the Classic will be the Food & Wine Walk. At five special spots throughout the back nine of Disney’s Magnolia course, all spectators are invited to indulge in a portion of a progressive menu prepared by Disney chefs.
Featuring appetizers, entree, dessert and wine, each station will be set up to offer a great view of the holes for spectators to follow the flow of the tournament. Prices for the food items will be between $5- $8 and cash or pre-loaded cards will be accepted.
Tickets for the event are currently on sale with $10 one-day passes or $20 week long badges. Guests of Walt Disney Resort Hotels receive complimentary admission. If you have a little extra time, volunteer opportunities are also available.
