Take a Wine Odyssey in the Heart of Sydney

You don’t need to head to the Hunter to enjoy a wine tasting experience. Wine Odyssey brings together the best drops in the country, and it’s conveniently located in The Rocks.

If you don’t know your cabernets from your shiraz, or you just want to bone up on your skills, sign up for the Wine Tasting Theatre Experience. In the first part, you’ll watch a short film. You’ll taste six wines during the screening, learning how to appreciate the qualities of each glass as you enjoy it.

From there it’s off to the Aroma Room, which is filled with 50 scents and flavours you might encounter when tasting Aussie wines. This unique room helps you identify different wine flavours, giving you a better understanding of the complex aromas of local wines.

After that it’s down to the Journey room. A $10 card allows you to try any wine which piques your interest. Make sure to remember all you’ve learned while tasting these fine independent wines!

Good food goes together with good wine like vegemite and toast. On the Wine Odyssey you can enjoy a white or red wine flight, which combines three Aussie wines with three delicious dishes. It all sounds very indulgent, and the perfect day out of wine snobs or wannabe connoisseurs!
