50 Amazing Green Travel Destinations
I love traveling and I’ve been to a lot of cool eco-minded places. Of course I haven’t gotten to go everywhere I want to. I’m always seeing or hearing about new places that look so amazing, and so I usually add them to my mental list of “MUST someday visit” places.
That said, in case you’re looking for a green trip idea, or just somewhere eco-friendly to visit, I decided to compile a list – places I’ve been and places I’d love to visit. As I post about them, I’ll link them here. Eventually we’ll look at each place individually. Some places may seem vague and not a ‘green’ trip exactly at first glance (i.e. Portland, Oregon) but trust me, if it’s on the list, I’ve got my reasons, and will post on it eventually.
IF you’ve got a great idea about a green destination or an eco-trip idea that I missed, feel free to add it in the comments.

Ecuador is one of the most beautiful countries in South America. The weather, the colonial cities and the people are just fantastic. Nothing compares to the landscapes of the Highlands, the lush of the Amazon Jungle Forest, the exotic Beaches of the Coast and the mystery of the Galapagos Islands.

Glad we made the list! In fact we worked for the Green Tortoise Adventures before moving to Ecuador. We have lived in Seattle, San Francisco and Chicago. I really want to get to Chumba Island Coral Park. Stop by for a visit when you go to Galapagos and Sacha Lodge! The list can only grow longer!
