Daytrip to Carefree and Cave Creek

What Path will you take?
Located in Carefee, Arizona (note the town name), this sign always makes me chuckle. Do you have what it takes to drive down Bloody Basin Road or will you chicken out and simply take Tranquil Trail? Considering that other street names in Carefree are more in tune with it’s name; Easy Street, Sunset Trail and my favorite the corner of Ho and Hum, this option definitely makes you think … Am I feeling lucky?
A drive north of Phoenix and Scottsdale, Carefree is what the real Sonoran desert looks like complete with saguaros, boulders on mountainsides and coyotes. The town is next to Cave Creek and has almost 3,700 residents. It’s the perfect day trip for locals and visitors alike.
