5 Events to Attend This Fall in Denver, Colorado!
I just posted how Colorado is one of the top spots for viewing fall foliage. Well, the fall colors aren’t the only great thing you’ll find in the fall here! Denver has quite a bit to offer when it comes to fall events and I want to tell you about them.
5 Events to Attend This Fall in Denver
1. Harvest Week- September 12-18
The Denver Independent Network of Restaurants (DINR) comprised of the area’s top independent restaurants, has created Harvest Week, a week long celebration of Colorado’s exceptional produce and products. Harvest Week is presented in partnership with the Colorado Wine Board and Colorado Proud.
“We wanted to hold an event that would celebrate the spirit of DINR while contributing to the local community,” said David Zahradnik, President of DINR and General Manager of Steuben’s. “DINR is excited to embark on a project that will raise awareness about eating locally and directly support local producers.”

The event is one of the city’s longest running festivals and one of the largest of its kind in the nation! Modeled after Oktoberfest in Munich Germany, Oktoberfest on Larimer Street [map] commemorates this world-famous and time-honored tradition of German heritage. The festival has truly become a Denver mainstay offering German attractions, music from national touring groups, performances by international dancers, childrens’ activities, the Oktoberfest Denver 10K /5K Run, the Long Dog Derby, and accordion concert, and authentic cuisine. Admission to the event is FREE and guests may purchase food, beer and childrens’ activities.
4. Denver Beer Fest – September 18-27
This is a 10-day celebration of all things beer, including beer tastings at local Denver restaurants, beer-paired dinners, “meet the brewer” nights, beer tappings, Denver brewery tours and a variety of entertaining beer events throughout the Mile High City including Oktoberfest and the Great American Beer Festival!
The event is held at the Colorado Convention Center [map], as well as various other locations in the city.

5. Fright Fest - October 3 – November 1
This is the time of the year that Elitch Gardens [map] transforms from theme park to “scream park”. They have something for everyone of every age, from haunted houses to a Trick or Treat trail. This really is a fun family activity! You can see my review of Elitch Gardens here.
As you can see, there are plenty of fun events to keep you busy this fall. The hard part will be choosing which ones to attend. I say ALL of them!
