Art, Fun, Food and Music at Adams Morgan Day in Washington, DC
The annual Adams Morgan Day Festival in Washington, DC is a melting pot of the District’s people, cultures, music, dance, foods and arts.
Started in 1978, the fest is the longest running street fair in DC and delivers tons of free music and dance, tasty food from around the globe and great shopping.
So check out all that the Adams Morgan Day Festival has to offer. This year there are two new areas:
- The new Green Pavilion – Features sellers of all things green.
- The new DJ Pavilion (18th at Wyoming) – Featuring DJs from some of Adams Morgan fun dance clubs spinning their best tracks.

Along with these, check out the annual favorites, such as:
- The Columbia Stage (at 18th St.) and The Florida Stage (Florida at 18th and Mt. Vernon) – Live music including Afro Funk, Reggae, Rock, Latin and Tropical Jazz, R&B, Soul, Punk, Indie Rock, Bluegrass, Blues, Southern Rock and even a Brass Band. Bands starts every hour.
- Arts on Belmont – Belmont Road between Columbia and 18th St., NW – Vendors will be selling all kinds of works of hand-crafted art, including jewelry, sculpture, photos, paintings and more.
- The Dance Plaza – at the Marie Reed School – 2200 Champlain St., NW – Bring your happy feet and participate in an interactive dance workshop.
- The always fun Kid’s Fair – on the field at Marie Reed School (California Ave. from Champlain to 18th) – Kids can enjoy puppet and magic shoes, a 25-foot rock climbing wall and the always popular Moon Bounce.
- The Cultural Stage - at Unity Park-Columbia Roar & Euclid Street, NW presents a variety of performance arts acts, including poetry, theater and dance for all ages.

And keep your eyes open for local celebrities from Capitol Hill and expect Mayor Fenty to make an unannounced visit.

Admission – Free
Nearest Metro Subway Station – Woodley Park – Red line, then a 3/4 mile walk.
Parking – Finding parking in the area may be challenging. The garage on 18th Street will fill early. Be willing to walk a bit if you drive. Also try the garage at Connecticut Ave. & T Street.
