Celebrating the Day of the Immigrant

The Government of the City of Buenos Aires celebrates the Day of the Immigrant inviting everyone to an open air festival at the park surrounding the Planetarium Galileo Galilei (Avenida Sarmiento and Figueroa Alcorta), on Sunday, September 6.

The Festival will feature more than 40 dance groups representing the different communities that reside in the city of Buenos Aires which will offer their typical dances, along with a tango orchestra concert, and circus shows for the whole family. Typical food from all over the world would be offered as well.

The “Day of the Immigrant” was instituted on September 4, 1949, with the purpose of paying a permanent and public tribute to the immigrants of all times.

When: September 6, at 1.30 pm.
