Disney Attractions Closed for Rehab? Avoid Saying Oh-No-No!!
Have you ever described every detail of an attraction at a Disney theme park so much that everyone in your party is so excited to experience this amazing feature and as you round the corner with anticipation dripping from your pores you are greeted by a sign declaring that the attraction is closed while undergoing refurbishment?!! Oh! No! It can’t be!
Avoiding this dreadful situation can be easily accomplished by doing a little research before your trip. By checking the theme park calendars on the Walt Disney World Website, you will see not only the daily hours of operation and the dates for Extra Magic Hours, but also a listing of any attractions that might be closed for “Operational Updates”. The following links to the calendars for each Walt Disney World Resort theme park:
- Magic Kingdom theme park calendar
- Epcot theme park calendar
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park calendar
- Animal Kingdom theme park calendar
Once you have linked to these calendars, click on the exact date(s) that you will be visiting the resort, and you will receive all the needed information. As in life, unexpected interruptions can occur at the attractions at any moment. On one of our trips, we were unfortunately, never able to visit The Pirates of the Caribbean attraction as there was a series of technical difficulties occurring. Thankfully, this does not happen very often. If technical difficulties or operational updates occur during your vacation, remember there is always tomorrow or next trip and happily head off to tackle “Plan B”. Photo Selection: WDW News
