Sydney’s Quay Restaurant Named Australia’s Best
Sydney’s Quay restaurant has taken out the top honour at last night’s Australian Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Awards. This is the second year in a row the modern Australian and seafood restaurant has taken out the title.
“Since we named Quay Australia’s number one restaurant at last year’s awards, it’s gone from strength to strength, and is now recognised not only as a local leader but as one of the great restaurants of the world,” Australian Gourmet Traveller editor Anthea Loucas said at the awards.
“It’s a reflection of just how far dining in Australia has come.”
Neil Perry’s Rockpool Bar and Grill was another big Sydney winner, taking home gongs for Best New Restaurant, Wine List of the Year, and Maitre d’ of the Year.
