Deals and Packages the Make You Want to Get Out and Go in the South

Got a free weekend coming and no plans as of yet? Bet that will change after you take a look at some of these deals.

Through October 31, sixteen properties along Florida’s Gulf island (Anna Maria Island and Longboat Key, along with the mainland areas of Bradenton and Lakewood Ranch) is offering anywhere from the 3rd night free to the 7th night free. Amelia Island, Fla. honors military personnel (active, reserve and retired) and their families with the Seaside Salute. Thirteen properties are participating in this special package that features savings up to 40 percent. Advance registration is required and military ID must be presented at check-in. Some restrictions may apply, depending on the individual property.
And speaking of Amelia Island, if you are flying in for a visit, you’re in luck because a handful of properties are offering up to an $80 room credit to offset your luggage fee. This deal is good through December 31 on stays of three or more nights. Some restrictions do apply.
The Westin Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas is offering various packages, including earning extra Starwood bonus points and best rates.
Take it from me, you want to spend Labor Day weekend (or honestly any weekend) at the beach.
