If you’re wanting to travel, you’re in luck, because the deals are aplenty in the South.

Here’s a quick look at a few.

If you’re like me, you don’t want summer to end. And neither does Homewood Suites. Their Endless Summer Weekend rates are good through September 7. Here’s the deal, book three consecutive weekend nights (Thursday – Saturday, or Friday – Sunday) at any of the over 265 properties in U.S. and receive 10 percent off the standard weekend rate.
Need to get away as soon as, um, now? The Courtyard Dallas DFW Airport North/Irving is offering last minute weekends good on August 14-16 and August 21-23.
Horseshoe Bay (Texas) Resort is offering a number of packages. They include Just Bring Your Swing, good through March 10, 2010 that features unlimited golf on the three Robert Trent Jones, Sr. courses and complimentary club rental. For families, there’s the VIP Summer Special (good through September 30).
Speaking of packages, King Charles Inn in Charleston, S.C. offers choices like from Eat Like a S.N.O.B., Sleep Like a King, Family Retreat or Charleston Experience.
Are you familiar with Hyatt’s specials and packages? You can select from one of the four categories that include Romance, Balance, Awaken and Explore.
The Inn at Fifth in Naples, Fla., is offering various packages, including a Great Date Night package, good through September 30. This features a three-course dinner at Truluck’s Seafood, Steak & Crab House and full American breakfast at McCabe’s for two.
If golf is more of your thing in Naples, consider the Elite Golf Package at Naples Bay Resort. Available through October 30, non-members have the opportunity to play at 17 private courses as well as enjoying other amenities of the package.
