Amsterdam in Summer

What do Amsterdammer do in summer?

They sit on their door step and read a book. They meet up with friends and drink Heineken at one of the many outdoor cafes. Many laze away the day in one of the city parks or urban beaches. More active Amsterdammers jump on their bikes and sprint to Zandvoort beach, or go by train if they are less energetic.

Why not join them?
Head for one of the city parks because you don’t have your own doorstep. A long bike ride to the sea doesn’t sound all that attractive to you, I suppose.
