Police Women of Broward County

Reality TV has been all the buzz this year in South Florida. First, Miami Social premiered and well…we’d just like to erase that from our memory, but soon another show will make its debut. Police Women of Broward County will premiere on August 6 on TLC. This docudrama will follow four remarkable women who work for the Sheriff’s Office in Broward County. It won’t be sugarcoated either, as we will go on gang busts, car chases and see the harsh reality of what goes on in their dangerous and adrenaline filled lives.

This show focuses on 4 women. Andrea Penoyer is a 26-year old single mother. She is spunky, passionate and her goal is to clean up the streets. Julie Bower is the oldest member of the show at 48. She is a mother of 3 whose job is a combination of solving sex crimes and missing person cases. Shelunda Cooper, the 25-year old rookie finds herself working the graveyard shift. She’s always ready for the unexpected, but her family is understanding as they too are part of the force. Ana Murillo is the last member of the team. At 29, she won’t let anyone get past her as she tackles drug deals and conducts surveillance operations.

Here’s the trailer. Do you think this will be a bomb or will these ladies be our hometown heroes?

Police Women of Broward County will air on Thurdays at 9/8c on TLC.
