Nice tips! I’m looking to do a lot more traveling in the future but realize getting around the world isn’t the most eco-friendly option. I would add carbon offsets to your list in that regard. I haven’t looked into them yet but they could provide more peace of mind.

Whoop, I loved the advice you gave to Speak UP! I use http://www.EnvironmentallyFriendlyHotels.com to save time and energy when researching a Hotel’s green features. Awesome resource as they list a hotel’s green features all the way down to if they compost! Amazing details on there. Thanks for the list and I hope others read this! It’s Must-Read for an eco-conscious traveler!
