Saba Restaurant in Boca Raton has been sitting quiet for awhile. I’ve always known it was there, but have never made it inside. Not that its dead or closed or anything,  but for me personally, nothing drew me inside. Though, this weekend its created quite the buzz.

As they say, any buzz is good buzz, but really, what the #!* Sometime Sunday, a 150-lb Buddha was stolen from the front of the restaurant. Seriously?  This is not something you can just pick up and run with. It takes a whole lot of planning and why on Earth would you want a 150-lb Buddha? Pfft, here’s to years of bad Karma for this crazy individual(s).

Part 2, they are also running an Insane Wednesday promotion. And, insane it is! Stop by from 10:00 pm until 2:00 am for $1 drinks all night. Men & Ladies – the deal works for both of you. Not sure about this one. $1 drinks? Zero profit? There has to be some sort of catch here, but if you are not picky (I can just imagine Milwaukee’s Best floating all around) and are looking for a club-type atmosphere (Its open to everyone 18 and up, I can see it now), it might be interesting to check out.

And if you are feeling generous, throw in a few extra bucks. They need all the help they can get to find their poor Buddha.

Saba Restaurant is located at 499 South Federal Highway in Boca Raton. (561) 353-4600
