Let’s Go! Deals and Packages Throughout the South

Don’t let summer pass you by. If you think you can’t enjoy a quick getaway, think again. There are deals out there for everyone. stackofcoinscurtisgregoryperry

Here are a few to consider:

  • Stay the first night at the Inn on Charlotte (St. Augustine, Fla.) under their summer rate and get the second night for $19.18 (the year the house was built.) What’s unique about the inn is the owner has named the eight bedrooms after famous figures who have a connection to the city. You can spend your weekend in such rooms as the John James Audubon or the Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings. This special is good Sunday through Thursday in August and September.
  • The early bird gets the savings at The Shores Resort and Spa. Located in Daytona Beach, the property is offering Advance Purchase Rates. For instance, a 14-day advance purchase can save you up to 35 percent. Offer is good through August 27, Sunday through Thursday and August 28 – December 30, Monday through Sunday.
  • Thinking about a weekend jaunt to Georgia, but don’t know where yet? Check out the deals posted on Explore Georgia.
  • Plenty of deals can be found in Charleston, S.C. that have recently extended through September 30. You can find the “Water, Water Everywhere” package at Folly Beach Holiday Inn Oceanfront that includes a loaded beach bag with all the necessities, ice cream for the entire family and tickets to either South Carolina Aquarium or Splash Zone Water Park. Resort Quest is offering a “Blazin’ Saddles” package which includes horseback riding along Seabrook. Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina has the perfect package for families looking for their last hurrah of the summer. The Sullivan’s Island Beach Experience includes transportation to and from Sullivan’s island and a tote bag full of beach toys.

  • Isn’t it amazing all the travel deals that are popping up these days — if only we had the time to take advantage of all of them. (P.S. I love the photo selection)
