Boston’s Summer Restaurant Week 2009 – The Biggest Ever

Local foodies and budget conscious diners know that  one of Boston’s best dining deals is the city’s semi-annual restaurant week events.

Sponsored by the Greater Boston Visitor’s Bureau, this summer’s 2009 restaurant week actually takes place over two weeks;  from Sunday, August 9- Friday, August 14 and Sunday, August 16-Friday, August 21 . Some restaurants will even be offering their restaurant week menu for Saturday, August 15. This summer, Boston’s restaurant week promises to be extraordinary- with more than 200 area restaurants participating.   Diners can enjoy three course prix-fixe lunches for $20.09, two course lunches for $15.09,  and three course  dinners  for just $33.09 during the promotion.

Restaurant week veterans know that some restaurants offer more value than others. Uni Sashimi Bar at the Eliot Hotel,(Map) for example, offers show-stopping sashimi and well-executed Japanese cuisine. Restaurants that have lots of buzz-like L’Espalier (Map) and Rialto  (Map) will book up fast- so it is essential to make reservations early. Reservations open this Friday, July 24- which gives you plenty of time to search the restaurant listings and check out the restaurant’s special prix fixe menu offerings!
