Amsterdam Schiphol Airport News

Good news for travellers leaving from or arriving at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.

From 1st July Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is no longer the most expensive airport of Europe. Last April Schiphol lowered the tarifs by 10% for airlines using the airport whereas London, Brussels and Paris increased them by 5%. Besides, passengers leaving from Schiphol Airport no longer pay eco tax.

This was a much-hated tax and passengers went to airports just across the border in Germany and Belgium, to avoid paying it. The result was that several airline companies reduced their flights from and to Schiphol. Schiphol Management now pays airlines a bonus if they come back to Schiphol
