The activities take place every Wednesday from 9:30am to 11:30am. The program targets kids ages 7 to 11, but everyone is welcome. The change is $3 per person or $6 for the hole family.

This week’s theme — Philo-podia: “Who doesn’t love feet and hooves and paws and claws and slime tracks and trails. Make plaster casts.”

To learn more about the program and make reservations, call (210) 546-6402 or email pspring@sanantonio.gov. Friedrich Wilderness Park is San Antonio’s only nature preserve and is located at 21480 Milsa on the NW side of San Antonio.  From IH-10, take the Camp Bullis Road exit. Turn left and go on the underpass, then turn right on the access road. Proceed for approximately 1 mile and then turn left on Oak Dr. which will take you to a T-intersection. Turn right on Milsa and the park entrance will be on your left

If your younger kids love nature too, also consider the Tiny Tot Nature Camp at the San Antonio Zoo. The cost for one child and one adult is $50 for zoo members and $80 for non-zoo members. Camps are designed for ages 3 to 5. They feature stories games, crafts and animal close-ups. Visit the San Antonio Zoo website for more information and to register. The Tiny Tot Nature Camps are just one of the many summer camps available at the San Antonio Zoo this summer.
