Are you registered for The Gathering 2009?
Are you registered for this summer’s biggest Scottish event, The Gathering 2009?
Held in Edinburgh in the open green confines of Holyrood Park on the 25th and 26th of July, this looks to be the perfect day out in the sun. The list of activities going in for the two days is pretty long so you’ll have no shortage of choice choosing between:
- watching the highland games (yes, that’s the caber toss and stuff)
- hearing live music, including the renouned Red Hot Chili Pipers
- tasting whisky at the Talisker tent
- eating traditional Scottish food and drink
- listening to tales at the Storytelling centre
- researching your history at the geneaology centre
There will also be a children’s zone for the wee ones to get their own Scottish experience.
You can buy tickets online at The Gathering 2009 website. If you’re Scottish or just love Scottish heritage/culture, it’s a must-do.
